ABOUT ME
Elise is excited to bring stories to life. Whether working on shows as a director or stage manager, Elise prides herself in creating and fostering a relaxed and fun environment so all artists have the freedom to explore creatively. Sometimes the best shows start with a dash of silliness and a sprinkle of whimsy.
Looking towards the future, Elise is passionate about directing shows that explore themes of intersectionality, girl/womanhood, and/or amplifying voices that are often silenced or forgotten. Elise is also excited to work on projects that are lighthearted and fun for audiences of all ages.
Elise's directing credits have included the main stage production of The Velveteen Rabbit at Mile Square Theater and Paradise Blue at Gloucester Stage Company;
Assistant Directing RENT in Concert with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center under the direction of Sammi Cannold;
Associate directing the site-specific one-woman show Bitch Boxer under the direction of Emily Moler.
Elise has also directed a reading of Oversteegen by Megan Tobias, which focuses on the importance of amplifying history through the eyes of those who have been erased.
When not actively pursuing her theatre dreams, Elise can be found practicing aerial arts, visiting her siblings on the west coast, being a silly goose, reading a good novel, or looking up astrology facts.
Did you know it’s a full moon tonight?
